Independent Bitcoin exchange comparison — methodology, team and editorial principles

BitcoinMarket.net — Independent Exchange Comparison

BitcoinMarket.net is an international editorial portal dedicated to comparing Bitcoin exchanges. We publish content in Italian, English, Spanish and German, with the goal of helping users worldwide choose the platform best suited to their needs.

The site was founded in 2025 with a simple mission: make crypto exchange comparison accessible, honest and verifiable. We are not an exchange, we don't sell cryptocurrencies, and we don't offer financial advice. We are an editorial team that analyses, tests and compares platforms.

📋 Affiliate Disclosure

BitcoinMarket.net participates in affiliate programmes with the exchanges it reviews. When you use a link on this site to register, we may receive a commission. This does not involve any additional cost to you and does not influence our ratings. Read our full policy →

How We Evaluate Exchanges

Every exchange reviewed on BitcoinMarket.net is analysed using a structured and replicable methodology. We evaluate 6 key areas, each with a specific weight in the final score:

💸 Fees & Costs (25%)

Spot and futures trading commissions, deposit/withdrawal costs, maker/taker fees, fee reduction programmes (native token, volume).

🔒 Security (25%)

2FA, cold storage, fund insurance, proof of reserve, hack history, bug bounty system, security certifications.

⚖️ Regulation (20%)

Active licences (MiCA, VASP, FCA, BaFin, AFM, etc.), compliance with local regulations, user fund protection, KYC/AML.

🖥️ User Experience (15%)

Quality of mobile and web app, ease of onboarding, order execution speed, features for beginners and advanced users.

📊 Liquidity & Assets (10%)

Trading volumes, bid/ask spread, number of cryptocurrencies available, order book depth, trading pairs.

🎧 Support (5%)

Quality and availability of customer support, response times, available channels (live chat, email, ticket), support in local language.

Ratings are updated at least every 3 months, or immediately following significant events (fee changes, security incidents, regulatory changes). The date of the last update is shown on every review page.

Editorial Independence

Our editorial policy is based on three principles. Read the full version in our Editorial Policy →

  • No paid reviews. Exchanges cannot purchase positive ratings or higher scores. Affiliate relationships do not influence ratings.
  • Transparency on affiliate links. All affiliate links are clearly identifiable. We earn commissions only if a user registers through our links — at no additional cost to the user.
  • Separation between editorial and commercial content. Promotional sections (partnerships, banners) are visually distinct from editorial content.

If an exchange does not meet our security or regulatory standards, we clearly state this in the review — regardless of whether an affiliate relationship exists.

Methodological note: BitcoinMarket uses AI-assisted research tools under human editorial oversight. All content is reviewed and approved by the editorial team before publication.

Reviews published on BitcoinMarket.net are based on direct platform analysis, practical account testing, and research of official sources (exchange documentation, regulatory reports, public security audits).

Geographic Coverage

BitcoinMarket.net is an international site. Content is published in 4 languages — Italian, English, Spanish and German — and is aimed at users worldwide. We do not target exclusively any single national market: all markets have equal editorial priority.

When an exchange is only available in certain countries, or holds licences specific to certain markets (e.g. FCA UK, BaFin Germany, AFM Netherlands, MiCA Europe), we state this explicitly in the review.

Contact & Corrections

Found incorrect information? Want to report an update on an exchange? Are you an exchange looking to request a review?

You can contact us via the Partnership page. Reports of factual errors are taken on board and verified within 48 working hours.

Corrections policy: if information in our review is found to be incorrect after verification, we correct it and update the page modification date. We do not retroactively delete previous versions without an update note.
